Sakleshpur

Sakleshpur or Sakleshapura is a hill station town and base camp of Sakleshpur taluk in Hassan locale in the Indian province of Karnataka. The town lies in the Malnad district on the slopes of the biodiversity hotspot, the Western Ghats. It has a mild atmosphere encompassed with grandiose green slopes brimming with espresso, cardamom, pepper and areca manors. These yields which contribute basically to the economy of the taluk are developed in the encompassing towns and the whole taluk are conveyed to Sakleshpur city available to be purchased. The town lies on the National Highway 75 NH 75 which associates the port city of Mangalore 128 km, with the capital city Bangalore 224 km of Karnataka state.

The closest airplane terminal is Mangalore International Airport, arranged at a separation of 128 km 80 mi. Sakleshpur taluk is limited by Belur taluk toward the upper east, Alur taluk toward the east, Dakshina Kannada area toward the west, Chikkamagaluru region toward the northwest and Kodagu region toward the southeast and south. The Western Ghats mountains reach out along the western edge of the taluk, isolating Sakleshpur from Dakshina Kannada area. Whatever remains of the region lies on the Deccan Plateau. The Hemavathi River, a tributary of the Kaveri, channels the eastern bit of the region, starting in Chikkamagalur area and coursing through Sakleshpur town.
