The Rashtrapati Nilayam, near Secunderabad is one of the official retreats of the president of India. Spread over an area of 101 acres, the Rashtrapati Nilayam is of one storey. The building has a dining hall, ceremonial hall, cinema hall, a durbar hall and a morning room along with 16 rooms for the president and staff as well as the capacity to accommodate 150 people. Heritage Conservation Committee (HCC) has tagged with a heritage tag because of its150 years of history.
It is said that the British had one of their largest military establishments here. The 'Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolarum', acts as the living quarters of the President whenever the president visits the place.
