About Rann Utsav and Handicraft shopping

Rann of Kutch is one of the largest deserts in the world, located in the Thar desert in the Kutch district of Gujarat, with a little part of it in the southern tip of Pakistan. The inhabitants of this area are the Kutchi people.

 

Rann of Kutch has a breathtaking view, with desert on one side and the sea on the other. The varied ecosystems and the desert vegetation add to the majestic beauty that it is. 

 

Rann Utsav is a 3 month long festival held there annually. The luxury tents lined up for the tourists, para motoring, art and craft exhibition, folk music, dance performances in the moonlight are some of the most exquisite attractions of the Utsav. 

 

One can buy handicrafts from the wide range of local and unique handicrafts sold there. Besides, young women sell embroidered clothes for a living.

 

Be a part of the colourful extravaganza that is the Rann Utsav and get lost in the festivity and traditional flavour.
