The largest temple in Vrindavan, the Rangaji temple was built in the year 1845 by Seth Govind Das. The architecture of the temple is a blend of the South Indian and Rajput temple architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rangaji or Lord Vishnu.
The temple, built in the Davidian style has the traditional Gopuram, which is on the lines of South Indian architecture. There is a Rajput styled entrance gate and a colonnade, influenced by Italian architecture. There is a 15 meters tall pillar inside the temple dedicated to Lord Rangaji in his Sheshashayi pose.
Apart from the picturesque beauty, the temple is famous for the annual festivals of Jal vichar and Brahmotsava also known as Rath mela which are celebrated with great pomp and show.
