Rameshwar Temple

Rameshwar Temple is Shiva sanctuary situated at Baleshwar,Odisha.The Rameshwar sanctuary is exceptionally old sanctuary in Bhubaneswar and known as the Mausi Maa sanctuary of Lingaraj Temple. It is situated from 2 km separate from Lingaraj shrine. Legend goes as when Rama was coming back from Lanka after triumph over Ravana,Goddess Sita requested to love Shiva here. So Ramachandra manufactured a Linga for that reason. Customarily amid Ashokashtami,which falls one day before to Rama Navami in Chaitra Lord Lingaraja results in these present circumstances sanctuary by an extensive chariot called Rukuna Rath and remains for four days. Historically the sanctuary goes back to ninth century.
