Ujjain has a cluster of architectural marvels and temples, but Pir Matsyendranath is another monument which was created in remembrance of the greatest leaders of the Natha sect of Saivism - Matsyendranath. Very much like the other monuments, it is not an extraordinary construction but a very popular tourist destination even still.
The excavations carried out in this area revealed some antiques dated back to the 6th and 7th century. It is a famous attraction located on the banks of River Shipra and must be visited.
