About Parmarth Niketan

Parmarth Niketan is an ashram located in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. Parmarth Niketan is located inside the lap of the plush Himalayas, alongside the banks of the Ganges. The ashram became founded in 1942 by using Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj. Since 1986, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj is the President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan. As the largest ashram in Rishikesh with over 1000 rooms, Parmarth Niketan gives a smooth, natural and sacred ecosystem as well as considerable, lovely gardens to hundreds of pilgrims, who come from all corners of the Earth.
The each day activities at Parmarth Niketan consist of daily yoga specializing in Vinyasa yoga, wellknown Hatha yoga and yoga Nidra. Daily activities also encompass morning conventional prayers and meditation training, day by day satsang and lecture programs, kirtan, a Ganga aarti at sundown attended via hundreds of visitors each day on the shore of Ganges, in addition to Nature Cure and Ayurvedic treatment and education. Parmarth Niketan is the home to a 14 ft Shiva statue at the banks of Ganges which presents a perfect view to the ashram. The divine tree of heaven Kalpavriksha become planted at the premises of this ashram with the aid of Vijaypal Baghel of Himalaya Vahini.
