Nilackal

Nilackal is at a separation of 40 Kms from Pathanamthitta and situated on Pathanamthitta - Pampa course, while in transit to Sabarimala is well known for Mahadeva Temple and Marthoma Sleeha Church. The Mahadeva Temple committed to Lord Siva is one of the popular Siva temples here. It is situated on the banks of Pampa River.

The Marthoma Church committed to St. Thomas is accepted to have been developed in 54 AD by S. Thomas himself. It is otherwise called Arapally half finished church, and it is one among the 7 and half houses of worship established by the Apostle Thomas.
