About Nako Lake

Nako Lake is a high height lake in the Pooh sub-division of the Kinnaur locale. It frames some portion of the limit of Nako town and appears that the town is half covered in the lake's outskirt. It is around 3,662 meters 12,014 ft above ocean level. The lake is encompassed by willow and poplar trees. Close to the lake there are four Buddhist sanctuaries. Close to this place there is a footlike impression attributed to the holy person Padmasambhava. A few miles away there is a town called Tashigang around which there are a few hollows where it is trusted that Guru Padmasambhava ruminated and offered talk to supporters. There is a waterfall close-by which has snow water falling like a stream of drain. Legend says that it is a glorious domain of pixies. In one of the hollows you are as yet ready to see the live impressions of these pixies or different demigods. It is a holy place for the general population of these valleys. Supporters originate from as far a place as Ladhak and spiti valley.
