The Museum of Anatomy and Pathology or MAP in Manipal is a popular tourist attraction. The Museum features human and animal specimens and is considered to be the largest of its kind in Asia. There are about 3000 samples of organs and other parts of human or animal anatomy including the skulls of an elephant and a whale and a long skeleton of a King Cobra. The museum houses well preserved skeletons of various animals. There are carefully crafted models and charts to go along with them for the benefit of the visitors.
