About Mamallapuram Pancha Rathas

Pancha Rathas is a landmark complex situated on the Coromandel Coast in Mahabalipuram. The complex is viewed as one the finest cases of Indian shake cut engineering. An UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best activities in Tamil Nadu, Pancha Rathas go back to the seventh century. Built under the rule of King Mahendraman I and his child Narasimhaman I of the Pallava Kingdom, the structures take no impact from Indian engineering. In any case, the complex was never finished after the passing of Narasimhaman. Every one of the structures of the complex are named after the Pancha Pandavas-Arjuna, Bhima, Yudhishthira, Nakula and Sahadeva and their regular spouse Draupadi.
