About Lingambudhi Park

Lingambudhi Park is a park in the city of Mysuru, India. Lingambudhi stands first in phrases of richness entirely due to its region bordering growing metropolis. Lingambudhi Lake is a perennial freshwater lake located inside the basin of River Cauvery. Since its creation in 1828 until the past due 1980s, Lingambudhi lake was a standard village lake within the rural environment of the town of Mysuru. Now this lake is near a residential location called Srirampura.

The lake turned into serving as a source of drinking water, irrigation, and fish produce; as a site for laundry garments and livestock; and as a place of non secular worship for the people of Lingambudhi Palya, a village inside the place of the lake. A notification from the DCs office dated 28 August 2003, in reaction to the Forest Department’s idea of 2001, had in the end d the Lingambudhi Lake and its environs as a covered forest place and had transferred the ownership to the Forest Department.
