About Laxman Jhula

As the name suggests this is a bridge across the river Ganges. This bridge is located 5km from the town of Rishikesh. This bridge connects two villages – Tapovan and Jonk. This bride is one of the iconic marks of Rishikesh.

A similar bridge named as ram Jhula is situated near this bridge. History goes as – Laxman crossed the Ganges on a jute rope (which this bridge was made of). Overall this attraction doesn’t take much of your time but makes sure to give it a visit.
