This river is situated in the state of Maharashtra and originates from the town of Bhira. Along the banks of this small rivulet are located towns like Salav, Kolad, Chaul, Roha and Korlai. There lies a historical trade route from Tamhini Ghat Road that descends towards the Kundalika Valley.
