About Kanyakumari Temple

Kanyakumari Temple is a central fascination of Kanyakumari and is devoted to the virgin Goddess Kanyakumari, an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi.The Kumari Amman Temple of Kanyakumari has three passages and a sanctum sanctorum. The Naathri Mandapam, a popular segment of the sanctuary, is arranged in the outer passage of the sanctuary.

The Naathri Mandapam is decorated with canvases and carvings which mirror the design brightness of Kumari Amman Temple.In the sanctum sanctorum of the sanctuary there is the icon of the goddess who faces east. Kumari Amman Temple additionally encases an eighteenth century holy place which reveres the impressions of Goddess Kanyakumari. The principle celebrations of the Kumari Amman Temple are the Car Festival and the Naathri Festival.
