About Jaswant Garh

The 'ponder man' does not exist now but rather his recollections do. Jaswant Singh Rawat of the Indian armed force battled a solitary fight against the attacking Chinese troop amid Indo-China war in 1962.

Found 21 kms from Sela Pass towards the course of Tawang, the post held by him to battle Chinese armed force is named as Jaswant Garh out of appreciation for his memory. He stood his situation for 3 days at a height of 10000 ft without surrendering until his final gasp.
