It is situated on the banks of Manimala River is well known for Sastha Temple and Mosque of Va, who is accepted to be the companion of Sri Ayyappa. The mosque is otherwise called Nainar Mosque.

The exceptional element of the Nainar Mosque is that Hindu pioneers revere here before their trek to Sabarimala amid the Makara Vilakku season. Chandanakkudam celebration celebrated here in the long stretch of December/January. During the evening there is an appealing parade with elephants and Panchavadyam. It is one of the great temple in this city. Tourists come here from all over the world with their family and friends.
