Bhaktavatsala Perumal temple is situated in the edges of Cheranmahadevi in the midst of paddy fields on the bank of Thamirabarani River. This temple is committed to Lord Vishnu. The temple was worked by Pandiyas in the twelfth century AD. The temple contains late Chola and Pandiya engravings. Out of the 108 divya desams, it lies in the seventeenth place. This place is additionally called as Sapthamirtha Kshetram.
