Archeological & Art Museum

Among the more pleasant and generally significant destinations in all of Thrissur is its well known Archeological Museum. Initially in the Kollengode Palace building, it has now been moved to the Shakthan Thampuran Palace. This delightful building used to be the seat of the Perumpadappu Swaroopam, the previous decision tradition of Kochi, and now houses a portion of the finest wall paintings from over God's Own Country.

Advance inside and one is instantly made mindful of the one of a kind fortunes this place holds, including Veerakallu, sanctuary models, olagrandhangal original copies on dry palm leaves and stone monuments.

Veerkallu, particularly, get the interest of every new guest. These stone inscriptions and models of figures and weapons have a place with a former time, and were found in the backwoods of Thrissur and Wayanad. Other vital shows incorporate earthen pots, urns and unique sanctuary models that are a portion of the best portrayals of heavenly locales over all of Kerala.
