Arattupuzha is a socially huge town situated in Thrissur area of Kerala. This town, around 15 km from the town of Thrissur is prestigious for the yearly pooram celebration called Arattupuzha Pooram held in April/May. The Sree Sastha Temple, devoted to Sage Vasishta, which is accepted to be over 3000 years of age and its premises are the setting for the merriments.
It is trusted that amid the celebration time frame, Lord Ayyappa, the directing god at the Sree Sastha Temple is gone to by divine beings and goddesses of the neighboring towns. The uniqueness of this celebration is the stylized parades conveying the pictures of the gods of 41 neighboring temples to this town.
