Mul Akshar Murti Gunatitanand Swami closed his mortal presence at 12.40 a.m. in 1867 Vikram Samvat 1923 Aso sud 12 in Gondal. Next morning, Swami's mortal body was put in a palanquin and taken to the edges for the crematory ceremonies. His asthi bone relics were set in a copper urn and covered in the ground. To remember the place of incineration, Abhaysinh Darbar of Ganod, a follower of Gunatitanand Swami, constructed a wonderful temple called Akshar Deri.
