About Totkomlos
Totkomlos town in Bekes county, in Oroshaza district. According to the findings of the Hungarian conquest, the settlement and its surroundings were inhabited by different peoples, and archaeologists found traces of the villages of the Arpad era. From this early period, the Chapel of Grand Duchy preserves the memory of the Romanian architectural style. In 2017, the staff of the Nagy Gyula Regional Museum of Oroshaza discovered a finding of 645 coins at the border of Totkomlos. Coins are 620 friesach denars, II. Geza's 22 coins of the Arpad era and an English penny were from the time of John Földn Withouti. In 1919, hundreds of coins were found by two local residents in plowing, 235 of which were seized by the authorities during the contemporary house search.
The treasure was probably hidden in the 1240s in Kopacs-puszta. Later on, according to the diplomas, the possession of János Hunyadi was the possession of the Hogwarts. In 1484 he was the owner of King Matthias, who donated John the Comlon to his son, Corvin. The area changed hands several times during the turmoil, the population fled from the conquerors.
