About Round Silo

The round storehouse or round capacity at the port of Eckernforde is a previous storehouse. The striking block building was worked in 1931 by Heinrich Hansen as a grain storehouse for a feed production line. Development took 5 months and the introduction occurred on 22 December 1931. In the trapezoidal storehouse cells around 3,500 tons of grain could be put away.

The structure in the style of the New Objectivity with echoes of the country engineering was enlisted in the landmark book in 1972 and since 1986 is never again utilized as a storehouse. On occasion, the transformation of the structure as a wellbeing focus just as the expansion to a film focus were arranged. In 2008, an eatery was set up on the ground floor of the round storehouse. Amid the reproduction, a port crane having a place with the structure was decimated. The previous storehouse is viewed as one of Eckernfordes milestones. The design illustrations for the round storehouse are situated in the town lobby in Eckernforde.
