About Oberlahr
Oberlahr is a local church within the district of Altenkirchen in Rhineland Palatinate. It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Flammersfeld. Oberlahr is a nationally recognized traveler lodge. Oberlahr belonged to the Electorate of Cologne, whose proper financial institution remains were dissolved in 1803 due to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss and awarded the Principality of Nassau Usingen.
In 1806, the vicinity belonged to the Duchy of Nassau and came in 1815 due to the decisions of the Congress of Vienna and a further treaty to the Kingdom of Prussia. Under the Prussian administration Oberlahr become assigned to the mayor Flammersfeld within the newly constructed circle Altenkirchen, which belonged from 1822 to the Rhine Province. In the Oberlahr hearth disaster on Advent Sunday, December 12, 1790, almost the entire area burned down. To rebuild 200 of the 3,000 current alrighttrees from the Oberlahrer groves had been wished. Depending on the size in their houses and the harm carried out, the burnt out human beings were assigned the alrighttrees for repair or new production.
