About Porte Desilles

It is Located at the northern end of the Cours Léopold, in the Place du Luxembourg, the Porte Désilles is in the form of a triumphal arch finely carved and reminding, in particular, a tragic event occurred on August 31, 1790: the death of Lieutenant Désilles.The Porte Désilles is a triumphal arch in the French city of Nancy.?

This monumental door has three openings with, on the side of the city, a rich decoration composed of pilasters with Ionic capitals and an ornate upper entablature of bas-reliefs commemorating the Treaty of Versailles of 1783 signed between Louis XVI and America.
