On this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries and Most popular in this area. Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17’Th century AD. Main attraction in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue inside the Dresthang Gompa. Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukpa order . This Monastery is more than 500 year old . Hemis Monastery, about 45 kms south of Leh it is one of the most famous and largest monastery in Ladakh. It belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17’Th century. The setting is perfect with the monastery cradled in a lovely valley, surrounded by Mountain and fronted by long Mani walls. Sindhu ghat Darshan to Holy Indus river . After breakfast we will visit the most picturesque Disket monastery on the hill top. Later continue drive to other side of Nubra valley – was the main part of silk route. We will continue our drive back to Leh via Khardungla. Reach Leh & transfer to Hotel overnight stay.

Breakfast, drive 154 km/ 6 hrs to the spectacular Changthang Valley, winding your way over the exhilarating Chang la 5320m. - the second highest point of our journey. The landscape on the way to Pangong is just spectacular. Overnight in camp or guesthouse.

The boulder melt while touching the Guru ji . In the shape of Guru Nanak ji the demon tried to crush Guru Nanak by kicking the boulder with all his might. To his surprise, the demon’s foot c aus ed a deep impression in the boulder which had turned soft. The boulder with the imprints of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the foot of daemon still rests there. Spituk Gompa : 8-9 Kms from Leh, From the Monastery one can see the Indus valley and on other side Airport and leh town . Many icons of Buddha and fine Thangkas are to be found in this 15th century old Gompa. The Gompa also houses a collection of ancient masks, antique arms, and an awe-inspiring image of Mahakaal The face of the Kali image is kept covered and is revealed only at the annual function at January every year.
