Day 01: Arrive Chennai –Thiruthani – Tirupati - Vellore (270 kms by road)
Arrive at Chennai: - On arrival at Chennai you will be welcome by Trojan Holiday’s travel assistant and later get transfer to Thiuthani and visit the famous Murugan Temple, after prayers transfer to Tirupati it is a major pilgrimage site and is also the cultural city of Andhra Pradesh. It is approximately 20 kilometres away from the famous Lord Balaji Temple situated on the beautiful hills of Tirumala. Reach there and do the prayers later in the afternoon drive to Vellore. Reach Vellore in the evening and check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Vellore – kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (250 kms by road)
After healthy breakfast in the morning go for sightseeing tour of Vellore A grand 'golden temple', the Mahalakshmi temple, located on a sprawling 100 acres of land at Sripuram, also visit Vellore fort Jalakanteshwara temple, Ratnagiri Murugan temple. Day 03: Pondicherry- Chidambaram – Tanjore – Trichy (250 kms by road)
After healthy breakfast in the morning proceed for the sightseeing tour of Pondicherry which carries a strong whiff of the French presence in India. This erstwhile French colony on the east coast of South India merged with the rest of the country in 1954. Legend says that Pondicherry is the place where St.Agasthaya settled down; visit Aurbindo Ashram, the city of dawn, which is 10 kms north of Pondicherry. After healthy breakfast in the morning Visit Temples of Trichy one of the very ancient towns of Tamil Nadu, has many interesting relics of Pallay art (7th century A.D.) - only 6 miles away is the great temple of Srirangam - an island on the Cauvery. This is a massive temple with a 100 pillar hall highly decorated with carvings, also visiting Rock fort and its temple at a height of over 23mts. Day 05: Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari (300 kms by road)
After breakfast Go for sightseeing tour of Rameshwaram- the most sacred temple town of India is an island hallowed by the epic Ramayana, where Lord Rama is said to have visited before going into battle of Srilanka. Legend has it that Lord Rama sent Hanuman to Mount Kailash to bring a Lingam for worship when he set foot after defeating Ravana. As Hanuman did not return when the auspicious hour was approaching, Sita made a sand Lingam so that worship could be performed in time, which is where the present day Ramanatha Swamy Temple stands close to sea on the eastern side of the island. One of the twelve Jyotirlingam shrines is also well known for its magnificent corridors and the massive sculptured pillars lining them.
After healthy breakfast in the morning do sightseeing of Padnabhapuram palace, Suchidram, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue. Evening free for own leisure activities, Night stay in Kanyakumari.
After breakfast proceed to Madurai and transfer to hotel. The ancient city of Madurai, some 2600 years old is laid out in the banks of river Vaigai as a lotus flower with the Meenakshi temple in the centre. Day 08: Madurai – Kodaiakanal – Palani – Kodaikanal (250 kms by road)
Morning breakfast, checkout of hotel and proceed to Kodaikanal - the charm of Kodaikanal Hill station lies in its wooded slopes and gigantic trees. check in on arrival to a hotel. In the afternoon visit Palani the famous Murugan Temple. Come back to the hotel in the evening. Evening free for own leisure activities, overnight at the hotel.
