About Hangar-7

Hangar-7 at the east side of Salzburg Airport is a multifunctional constructing that homes a set of ancient plane, helicopters and Formula One racing cars owned by entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz. The steel body contains a clear glass cowl at some stage in. The flat, but extremely indirect ellipsoid is slanted on the Hangar gate and is penetrated at the entrance opposite cylindrical towers.

The building serves as an exhibition space and with its eating place Ikarus, bars, an outside front room and a cafe as a venue and meeting region. At the beginning of planning in October 1999, the Hangar-7 turned into at the start designed as the home of the Flying Bulls, whose fleet had come to be too large inside the late Nineteen Nineties for the prevailing space at Innsbruck airport. The hangar changed into planned by way of the Austrian architect Volkmar Burgstaller, the development work on the region east of the runway of Salzburg Airport commenced in January 2001.
