About Ayers Historic House Museum

Ayers House is one of the finest cases of Regency design in Australia.

Initially, a humble house worked in 1846, it was possessed from 1855 to 1878 by Henry Ayers, for a long time head administrator of South Australia.

Ayers changed it into an exquisite 40-room manor with a huge new lounge area and a dance hall.

It now has a place with the National Trust of South Australia and is a mainstream occasion setting, yet guests are welcome to see the house on a guided visit. Amid the visits, visitors pick up entrancing goodies about the social history of the period and added the life and work of Sir Henry Ayers.

The inside is really popular for its delightful improving painted completes on interior dividers and roofs.

In plain view is a wonderful accumulation of period beautifying expressions, furniture, silver, and fine art and in addition evolving shows. Section of the house is just allowed on a guided visit.
