Silver Lake

Silver Lake is low right now, and green grass covers the shore where prior this year eastern lake mussels abandoned over the sandy base. Preservation Agent Maureen Thomas isn't sure what's causing the low water level – it could be the dry spell the area experienced amid the mid year, or it may be the case that the Brockton Water Department is drawing more drinking water for city inhabitants than expected. In all likelihood it's a blend of the two. Somebody introduced a wooden seat on a bank by the lake so explorers can appreciate the view for a minute prior proceeding onward. Nobody appears to know who introduced the seat; it's only one of those abnormal events at Silver Lake Sanctuary. The asylum has turned out to be only that; trails lead walkers past neglected cranberry marshes and through calm woodland. Over 10,000 years back, this land was cut by ice sheets a large portion of a mile high. The scars can in any case be checked whether you know where to look. From the trail's peak, sitting above the lake, it ends up self-evident.
