Ruedi Resevoir

Ruedi Reservoir is a store on the West Slope of the Continental Divide on the Fryingpan River. It sits around 15 miles upstream of the town of Basalt, Colorado, close Aspen. The store is situated inside the White River National Forest, and straddles the province line between Pitkin County and Eagle County. They're both possessed and worked by the United States Bureau of Reclamation. One reason for the store is to help adjust for redirections to Colorado's East Slope, taken further up in the Fryingpan Basin as a major aspect of Reclamation's government Fryingpan-Arkansas Project. Another motivation behind the store is to give water to West Slope interests. The dam is situated in Eagle County.
Ruedi stores roughly 102,000 section of land feet of water. Water in the store is discharged through Ruedi Dam down the Fryingpan basically for civil, modern, and farming interests. A side advantage of the store is diversion. Sailing, angling and outdoors are famous at the store itself, while the downstream bit of the Fryingpan River has turned out to be very much viewed as a Gold Medal fishery.
