Oconaluftee

The Mountain Farm Museum and Oconaluftee Visitor Center are situated at the passageway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on U.S. Parkway 441/Newfound Gap Road close Cherokee, North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Parkway closes adjacent. Stop by the Oconaluftee Visitor Center for a lot of maps, guides, shows, supportive stop officers and projects.

The Mountain Farm Museum incorporates cultivate structures, most dating around 1900, that were moved from their unique areas all through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to make an outside historical center. Guests can investigate a log farmhouse, animal dwellingplace, apple house, springhouse and a working metal forger shop to get a feeling of how families may have lived 100 years back.
