Marion National Cemetery

Marion National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery situated in the city of Marion in Grant County, Indiana. It envelops 45.1 sections of land , and as of the finish of 2005, had 8,269 interments. It is incorporated into the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, Marion Branch national architecturally significant area. In 1888, Colonel George W. Steele, Indiana's congressional agent, effectively persuaded his partners in Washington, D.C., of the requirement for a Soldier's Home in Grant County.
