Bourne Bridge

The Bourne Bridge in Bourne, Massachusetts conveys Route 28 over the Cape Cod Canal, associating Cape Cod with whatever is left of Massachusetts. It won the American Institute of Steel Construction's Class "An" Award of Merit as the "Most Beautiful Steel Bridge" in 1934. Most activity drawing closer from the west takes after Massachusetts Route 25 which closes at the trade with US 6 and Route 28 only north of the extension. The expressway gives turnpike associations from Interstate 495 and Interstate 195.

There is a six-foot wide walkway for person on foot and bike access on the west side of the extension. The walkway is somewhat raised, yet there is no fence or obstruction amongst it and auto activity, and cyclists are prescribed to walk their bike. The extension street is furrowed in winter, despite the fact that the walkway is some of the time unplowed and unpassable. Extensions to the Cape are now and then shut for wellbeing amid high breezes.
