About Widnes
Widnes is an industrial town in Halton, Cheshire, Northwest England. It had a population of 60,221. Verifiably in Lancashire, it is on the northern bank of the River Mersey where the estuary strait to frame the Runcorn Gap. Straightforwardly toward the south over the Mersey is the town of Runcorn. Upstream and 8 miles toward the east is the town of Warrington, and downstream toward the west is Speke, the city of Liverpool.
Before the Industrial Revolution Widnes was comprised of little settlements on bog and moorland. In 1847, the principal compound manufacturing plant was built up and the town quickly turned into a noteworthy focal point of the synthetic business. The interest for work was met by vast scale movement from Ireland, Poland, Lithuania and Wales. The town keeps on being a noteworthy producer of synthetic compounds.
