Surrey Hills
About Surrey Hills
Surrey Hills is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONB in Surrey, England. The AONB was assigned in 1958 and covers one fourth of the province of Surrey. It is a piece of the Greensand Ridge, which crosses the AONB from west to east, and is the most elevated point in southeast England. Surrey Hills AONB appends the Kent Downs AONB toward the east and the South Downs National Park in the south west. The Surrey Hills territory has three long-separate strolls going through it: the North Downs Way, the Greensand Way and the Pilgrims Way.
Blackheath Common is additionally part of this region. The northern edge of these slopes, prevalently framed by chalk, is isolated by the Vale of Holmesdale which proceeds into Kent from the southern edges which are transcendently greensand. They give an asylum to uncommon plants and bugs. Parts of the region are claimed and overseen by the National Trust, including Ranmore Common, Leith Hill and Box Hill. Surrey Hills AONB is encompassed by an Area of Great Landscape Value.
