About St Peters Church
St. Peter's Church, Belper, is a Grade II indexed parish church inside the Church of England in Derbyshire. The church became designed for the designs of architect Matthew Hobberson. Humberson, born in 1789, came to the Yorkshire family. In 1806, he turned into prepared for the architect William Atkinson, with whom he remained for some years as a helper. Designs were displayed on the Royal Academy of Arts of 1824.
Royal Academy of Arts is an arts institute based in Burlington House on Piccadilly in London. The church become consecrated by means of the Bishop of Lichfield and Coventry, RT. Revd. Henry Ryder on 6 September 1824. In the early 19th century, Henry Dudley Rider became a main English evangelical Anglican bishop.
