St Mary's Church is the biggest and "stateliest" ward church in Leicestershire, with unmistakable remains dating for the most part from the 13th- 15th century. The stonework in the most reduced segment of the pinnacle, which has Norman windows, dates from 1170, in spite of the fact that there were absolutely at least one Anglo-Saxon houses of worship on this site before the Norman one.

The congregation has an extensive choir containing around 40 individuals. It shapes some portion of the Framland church trail alongside 14 different places of worship in the 'Framland zone'. Duplicates of the manual for the congregation trail are accessible from Melton Tourist Information Center.
