Rother Valley Country Park

It is a nation stop in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, near its outskirt with Sheffield and Derbyshire. It covers 3 square kilometers 740 sections of land, has four simulated lakes, recreational exercises and nature holds.

Most of the park is on the site of a previous quarry, with the principle uncovering locales filled by the simulated lakes. There is still a great part of the first quarry hardware beneath the water.

This park was authoritatively opened on 27 May 1983, at a cost of £4 million. It meant to give a region to recreational interests, urge natural life to come back to the region, and give a surge insurance want to the regions downstream.
