About Pollok House and Garden

Pollok House is the genealogical home of the Stirling Maxwell family, situated in Pollok Country Park, Glasgow, Scotland; possessed by the Jardine family, it was talented to the city board.

The house – worked in 1752 and outlined by William Adam – was talented to the City of Glasgow in 1966 by Dame Anne Maxwell MacDonald, whose family had possessed the bequest for just about 700 years. It is presently overseen by the National Trust for Scotland and is available to people in general.

The house was modernized inside in 1899 by Alexander Hunter Crawford.The site, Glasgow's most old guest fascination and the remainders of a broad antiquated woods, is seen from inside a building developed to shield the fossils from the components
