About Falls Road

The Falls Street is the principal street through west Belfast, Northern Ireland, running from Divis Road in Belfast downtown area to Anderson's town in suburbia.

Its name is synonymous with the Republican group in the city, while the neighboring Shankill Street is overwhelmingly supporter, isolated from the Falls Street by peace lines.

The street is normally alluded to as the Falls Street, instead of as Falls Street. It is known as the Faas Raa in Ulster-Scots.

The Falls Street gets its name from the Irish túath na bhFál, an Irish negligible kingdom whose name signifies "an area of the walled-in areas".

This region was generally the same as that of the ministerial ward of the Shankill, which traversed an expansive segment of cutting-edge Belfast.
