About Isa Bey Mosque
The Isabey Mosque is one of the most established and most great works of building craftsmanship staying from the Anatolian beyliks. The mosque is arranged on the edges of the Ayaslug Hills at Selcuk, zmir. The gets ready for the mosque depend on the Great Mosque of Damascus.
The mosque has two principle passages, toward the east and toward the west and contains a wellspring court. The western divider has engravings and geometric shapes engraved. These dividers are secured with marble, though the façades on the rest of the sides are made of cut stone. It is manufactured lopsidedly on a 48-by-56-meter base. The edges of its arches, with widths of 9.4 meters and 8.1 metres, are embellished with Iznik tiles. Twelve round segments remain inside its yard circled with patios. Its block minaret is based on an octagonal base, and the upper part from the overhang is destroyed.
The mosque had another minaret on the west, which is completely obliterated at this point. The mihrab was moved to another mosque, because of an entryway opened there. There is an octagonal Seljuk turbe made of stone and blocks, with a pyramid molded rooftop, appropriate beside the mosque. By 1829, the mosque was in remnants and by 1842 the minaret had fallen down.In the nineteenth century, it was likewise utilized as a caravanserai.
