About Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía additionally called the Museo Reina Sofía, Queen Sofía Museum, El Reina Sofía, or just El Reina is Spain's national gallery of twentieth century workmanship. The historical center was formally introduced on September 10, 1992, and is named for Queen Sofía. It is situated in Madrid, close to the Atocha prepare and metro stations, at the southern end of the purported Golden Triangle of Art.

Broad present day remodels and augmentations to the old building were made beginning in 1980. The focal working of the gallery was at one time an eighteenth century healing center. The building worked as the Centro del Arte Art Center from 1986 until built up as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in 1988.
