About Museo Arqueologico de Baza

The Museum of Archeology of Baza of the city of that name, Baza is a Spanish group committed to show the discoveries made inside the municipality of Baza, province of Granada regarding the unique periods of occupation, in particular from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages. The Municipal Museum of Baza owes its starting place, absolute confidence, to archeology.
Already in 1945, being Local Commissioner of Excavations the notary D. Angel Casas Morales considered the convenience of creating an archaeological museum in Baza where the findings produced in the course of the excavations that the afore mentioned commissioner changed into doing at that point in Cerro Cepero, archaeological website that he already aptly noted as the site of the old Basti: "Cerro Cepero, observed the vintage web page of our ancestors that was the capital of the Bastitania and have cut distinct stages of the stone age, Iberian agreement, Punic factors and a Roman top ground.
