Ciutadella de Menorca Cathedral

The Cathedral Basilica of Ciutadella de Menorca is a Roman Catholic church in Ciutadella de Menorca, Spain. It was built on the requests of King Alfonso III of Aragon "the Liberal", the winner of the island, in 1287 on the site of an old mosque. Development began in 1300 and was done in 1362, making a working of the Catalan Gothic style, and is eminent for the width of the nave, flanked by six houses of prayer to each side. The five-sided apse is situated toward the east.
