Republic Square

Slovenian Parliament building is the political focal point of Slovenia and the focal point of current Ljubljana. It was worked in 1960 to a plan by the modeler Edd Ravnikar on a site already involved by the tremendous patio nurseries of the adjacent Ursuline Monastery.

A vast stage expected for open social events, where Slovenian autonomy was d on 25 June 1991, was worked in the focal point of the square and encompassed by the Slovenian Parliament fabricating, the tall TR3 and Ljubljanska banka office structures, the Cankarjev dom social and congress focus and the Maximarket retail establishment. Every one of them, aside from the Parliament, was planned by Edd Ravnikar. A few landmarks were raised at the edge of the square, the biggest being Drago Tršar's Monument to Revolution Spomenik Revolucije, divulged in 1975.
