Ljubljana Cathedral

THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST. NICHOLAS has remained here since the thirteenth century, yet the current twin-transcend building dates from the beginning of the eighteenth century. Inside it's a dream of pink marble, white stucco and plated and contains panoply of florid frescoes. Observe the sublime cut choir slows down, the organ and the heavenly attendants on the principle altar. Two staggering bronze entryways were included 1996 to celebrate a visit by the late Pope John Paul II. The principle west entryway confronting the Bishop's Palace describes the historical backdrop of 1250 years of Christianity in Slovenia; the six religious administrators on the south entryway fronting Ciril Metodov trg delineate the historical backdrop of the Ljubljana.
