The Young Spectator Theatre

The Youthful Spectator's Theater was a standard name of a performance center for kids and youth in numerous urban communities of the Soviet Union, as a rule alluded to by this truncation: TYuZ in some cases deciphered as "TUZ theater". A TYuZ was normally a stationary theater, with a committed building that housed a few scenes, including a manikin theater.

While considered by numerous on-screen characters to be less renowned than "grown-up" theaters, such performance centers served well as diversion for youth not yet sufficiently complex for more develop theater. The most seasoned youngsters' performance center under such a name was Moscow TYuZ, made in 1918 and Bryantsev Youth Theater in Saint Petersburg, opened in 1922.
