About Saint Anthony Parish

The parish of Saint Anthony of Padua in Gdynia is a Roman Catholic spiritual administrative unit and network, positioned in the Archdiocese of Gdalsk. Centered at the Conventual Franciscans' friary and church of Saint Anthony, it mainly covers the Gdynia district of Wzgorze Maksymiliana. It is diagnosed for several social and spiritual sports starting from ministry to tradition, schooling and charity. The church building, towering above huge part of the city, is known as one in all Gdynia's landmarks. Its peculiarity was that it periodically hosted church buildings one above some other.

Since early 13th century the location now forming the parish become a part of Archangel Michael parish, based totally within the village of Oxhoft/Oksywie. In 1926 the largely uninhabited neighbourhood changed into incorporated into the newly installed Holy Mary Queen of Poland parish, targeted on the new church positioned inside the very heart of what at that point became a fishing village rapidly becoming a current town of Gdynia.
