Manggha

The Manggha Museum's own accumulation – apparently rather little when seen from the point of view of substantial exhibition halls – has been made and keeps on growing on account of the assurance and individual responsibility of its originators, Andrzej Wajda and Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda.

The accumulation is an introduction to the Manggha Museum as a wonder, another and dynamic 21st-century historical center establishment giving a space to intercultural discourse, transparency, and experimentation.

The center of the gathering is the collection of works of art and relics aggregated by the Kyoto– Kraków Foundation, set up by Andrzej Wajda and Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda.

It was given to the historical center in 2006 and 2007. Joined with a view to raising assets for the development of the Manggha Center, since 1994 the Foundation has been accepting blessings as show-stoppers, from specialists and associations with whom it collaborates to hold presentations and compose social occasions.

In 2007, by a choice of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Manggha Center was conceded gallery status.

The new establishment expected every one of the elements of its ancestor, however collecting show-stoppers and aesthetic specialty items – both Oriental and Occidental – ended up one of the significant destinations proclaimed in its contract.
